Toe-In

Angling speakers so their tweeter axes aim at your ears.

Toe-in rotates each speaker toward the listening position. On-axis you get the flattest treble and strongest center image; firing straight ahead trades focus for a wider, softer stage and less sidewall reflection. Start aimed just behind your head and adjust by ear — the right answer is room- and speaker-specific.
