Listening Triangle
The equilateral setup rule: speaker spacing = distance to each ear.
Place the two speakers and your head at the corners of an equilateral triangle — speakers as far apart as each is from you — with tweeters at ear height and a slight toe-in aiming the axes at your ears. The 60° geometry produces a stable phantom center and correct stereo width. It is the single highest-value free upgrade in audio.
