First Reflection Point

Where sound bounces once between speaker and ear — the mirror-trick target.

First reflections arrive a few milliseconds after the direct sound and smear imaging and midrange clarity. Find them with a mirror: sit in your seat, have someone slide a mirror along each side wall, and mark every spot where you can see a tweeter. Panels go there — both side walls, and note the ceiling: a cloud treats the vertical bounce most rooms forget.
