Diffusion

Scattering reflections instead of absorbing them — liveliness without slap.

Diffusers break a reflection into many weaker ones spread across time and angle, keeping a room’s energy without discrete echoes. They need distance to work — several feet between diffuser and ear — which is why small rooms lean on absorption and diffusion earns its place on the rear wall of larger rooms.
