Tweeter

The high-frequency driver — usually a small dome, and not a shrunken woofer.

The tweeter reproduces roughly 2kHz up. Most are ~1-inch domes of aluminum, silk, or composite; the dome geometry is nothing like a cone, which is why our driver diagrams draw them differently. Material matters less than execution — a well-implemented soft dome beats a poorly implemented exotic one.
