Frequency Response
The range a speaker reproduces — meaningless without the ±dB window attached.
“45Hz–20kHz” tells you almost nothing; “45Hz–20kHz ±3dB” tells you the speaker stays within 3dB of flat across that range. The tolerance window IS the spec. A response quoted at −10dB flatters the bass extension by nearly an octave versus the same speaker quoted at ±3dB. Any plate on this site names the window when the manufacturer does — and flags it when they don’t.
