Passive Radiator
A weighted, un-powered cone that does a port’s job without port noise.
A passive radiator replaces the port with a suspended diaphragm tuned by mass. It delivers similar low-end reinforcement without port turbulence (chuffing) and lets a compact cabinet behave bigger than it is. You see them where enclosure volume is tight — compact subs and powered speakers.
