Condenser Microphone
Detailed and sensitive — which means it hears your room, too.
Condensers use a charged diaphragm to capture fine transient detail, which is why studios love them on vocals and acoustic instruments. The cost of that sensitivity: they pick up the computer fan, the street, and the untreated room’s reflections with equal enthusiasm. In an average bedroom, a dynamic mic often reads as “cleaner” for exactly this reason.
